  • Senior Full Stack Developer
  • Certified Dynamics 365 Expert

Hi! My name is Paweł Rzewuski. I'm pleased to welcome you to my website. I'd like to tell you about my personal life, the technologies I specialize in professionally, and my interests outside of IT. Come visit!

Who I am in private

Privately, I am the proud father of two of the best children in the world, the husband of a lovely woman, the son of parents who are role models for me, the brother and godfather of two great boys!

Who I am professionally

Professionally, I am an experienced developer who co-created the largest implementation of the Dynamics platform in Poland (for Kasa Stefczyka), and also spent 6 years deepening my knowledge of the Dynamics platform while working for the National Bank of the Netherlands (De Nederlandsche Bank).

As a full-stack developer, I'd like to tell you a little about how I program. Ready? Go!

How I became a developer

I have a degree in Computer Science and a Bachelor's degree in National Security. I look back on my studies with a broad smile as a wonderful adventure that gave me knowledge, a profession, and friends, and also strengthened my character. I started programming during my IT studies with Assembler, then took my first steps in C, then created tentative applications in C++, had some struggles with Java, and finally discovered C#. :) I had experience with HTML before, but during my studies, I learned it even better, along with CSS and JavaScript, so I could implement full-fledged web applications. It wasn't easy, but it was definitely worth it! :)

Back-end developer

During my studies, I was president of the AMW Computer Science Student Research Group. As part of the group, my advisor and I went to a Microsoft conference. Why am I writing about this? Because that's where I won my first Visual Studio 2008 license! I still have the box and media. :) I remember that after the first installation of this software, I decided that .NET was the technology I wanted to program in. So I started creating my first console applications, slightly larger projects in ASP.NET, and later in MVC. Today, I often turn to .NET when I need to implement an API, play around with Azure, create a plugin, or create a custom workflow activity in Dynamics 365.

Front-end developer

My dad used to paint in his free time, maybe that's why I also like to play around with front-end development :) I have a lot of experience in website programming, because in addition to projects that are not publicly available, I can present:
- my own website you are currently on: www.pawelrzewuski.pl
- the website dedicated to my Dad, Tomaszowi Rzewuskiemu: www.tomaszrzewuski.pl
- the website of Willa Cztery Brzozy w Chałupach: www.willaczterybrzozy.pl
My experience in front-end development also helps me carry out tasks in Dynamics 365 when I need to implement complex web resources.

Opowiem Tobie trochę o Dynamics 365 i powiązanych z nim technologiach, bo to jest wąska dziedzina w której się specjalizuję.

Certified Microsoft Dynamics 365 Expert

I've been working with Microsoft Dynamics 365 since 2015 (back then it was called Dynamics CRM). I passed the Microsoft exam and obtained the MB2-702: Microsoft Dynamics CRM 2016 Customization and Configuration certificate. I started with the on-premise version, but now I primarily work with the online version. As a technical specialist, I handle complex tasks involving customizing Dynamics 365 to meet client needs. I implement complex processes using workflows (including creating custom workflow activities), plugins, and integrating Dynamics 365 with other systems such as REST APIs. I create web resources and implement scripts in both pure JavaScript and TypeScript. In other words, I can tailor Dynamics 365 to a client's needs so thoroughly that the system feels like it was built from the ground up specifically for them.

Power Platform and Azure

Dynamics 365 is no longer a separate, complex system. It's part of an entire environment that includes Dataverse, Power Platform, and Azure. Microsoft is very intelligently developing this environment, providing more and more tools to Dynamics 365 developers. Functionalities that would once have been implemented as asynchronous workflows are now implemented using Power Automate Flows, Azure Logic Apps, or Function Apps. APIs that were previously hosted on private or rented servers are now hosted in Azure as Web Apps. Therefore, I frequently use Power Platform and Azure in my work, treating them as complementary.

DevOps, which means at work I don't just develop

Remember TFS, which later changed its name to VSTS so it could now be called Azure DevOps? I love programming, and that includes automating certain processes. Building and deploying applications is one such process. That's where DevOps comes in. I enjoy creating CI (Continuous Integration) and CD (Continuous Delivery) frameworks to automate the entire application management process, making it faster, maintenance-free, and more secure, while also making life easier for everyone involved: analysts, testers, and developers.

Now let me elaborate a bit on my professional life. Happy reading!

The biggest Dynamics 365 deployment in Poland

I began my professional career as an IT systems analyst. This was a conscious choice that developed my approach to the entire software development process. In 2015, I was invited to join the team tasked with implementing the Dynamics platform for Kasa Stefczyka. At the time, it was the largest Dynamics 365 implementation in Poland. As a team, we began exploring the tool, passed the exam, and obtained Microsoft certification. The project was conducted in a fully agile manner. We gathered requirements from the client, then implemented and tested them ourselves. We successfully delivered the entire project within a year!

Working for the National Bank of the Netherlands

I guess I did pretty well, because the transition to a senior position didn't take long. At another company, I mentored younger colleagues, and then I was offered a job in Amsterdam :) Specifically, to work at the Netherlands National Bank. Initially, I went there for one year, but I stayed for six. It was everything I could have hoped for in a job: a phenomenal atmosphere, great people, and immense job satisfaction. In the Netherlands, I developed as a person and as a programmer. I also became so skilled at playing foosball on defense that my colleagues started calling me "Polish Wall" :)

You've already heard about my education and work. Time for some free time. Ready? Go!

Where I live

I live in northern Poland, in the Tricity area. I had the pleasure of spending five months of my summer studying in California, and a year and a half living in central Amsterdam. However, I'm a proud Gdańsk resident who believes that Tricity is the most beautiful place in the world!

Sport

Sport is my escape, my relaxation. I love running, playing table tennis, squash, and tennis, and working out at the gym. I enjoy watching my son share my enthusiasm for sports, and we participate in sports together, winning medals. I dream of my children pursuing professional sports in the future.

Travel and hiking in the mountains

My passion for traveling and hiking began in 2010 during a Work & Travel trip to California. We worked at a resort in the Sierra Nevada Mountains and spent our free time exploring California and hiking in the mountains. Since then, my wife and I have visited many beautiful places on Earth (outside of Europe), including Egypt, Tunisia, Thailand, Dubai, Brazil, Cape Verde, and Curacao.

Photography and good music

In my opinion, the camera is one of humanity's most important inventions. My wife and I love photos. We take a lot of them and then we look at them with our children.
My favorite music genres are trip hop and rock.

I'm so glad you made it this far! :)
